You’ve heard of “Outer Bankers” – we are “Sound Bankers!” at the northernmost point of Dare County, in Duck, North Carolina
Dare County is located in northeastern North Carolina along the Atlantic seaboard and stretches along almost 110 miles of shoreline known as the Outer Banks. The County seat at Manteo is approximately 200 miles east of Raleigh, the State capital, and 90 miles south of the Virginia Beach-Norfolk, Virginia, metropolitan area.
As of the 2010 census, the Town of Duck’s population was 369. That swells to over 20,000 in the summer. Visitors enjoy outdoor recreational activities, summer events and concerts, watersports, fine dining, shopping, art galleries, and a nationally known jazz festival, as well as the 11-acre Town Park and soundside boardwalk.

We are on the 3-mile wide Currituck Sound, and just a short walk to the Atlantic Ocean!
Sound Banker is a 4 bedroom, 4 bath home, on a half-acre site fronting on Currituck Sound. (Ground-level den is an optional 5th bedroom.)

Top level includes kitchen, dining room, living room, and master bedroom and bath. Mid-level includes another master bedroom and bath, along with a twin-bedroom and a bunk room (sleeps 4), shared hallway bath, and laundry room. Ground level includes den and full bath.
Lots to do for every member of the family
Swimming, boating, fishing, wind-surfing, parasailing, golfing, enjoying a stroll on the beach or on the boardwalk in Duck, visiting nearby shops and restaurants, exploring the lost colony at Roanoke Island, climbing the Corolla Lighthouse, touring the nature center, visiting the Wright Brothers National Memorial, driving north to see the wild horses or south to visit the Hatteras Lighthouse Or simply soaking up the sun or basking in the evening’s sunset…
Play in the safe, shallow waters of the sound, or grab a beach chair and towel and walk to the Ocean and surf the waves

OUTDOORS AT SOUND BANKER
· Decks and dock provide great vantage points of the ever-changing views
· Canoe or kayak – paddles and life jackets provided! Currituck Sound depth ranges from 3 to 6 feet…easy to paddle or walk near the shore
· Water hammock – provides a fun place for children and adults to sit atop the water in the shallow, sandy-bottomed sound
· Crabbing – set a trap overnight and enjoy a taste of the Outer Banks the next day…nets and other paraphernalia provided
· Fishing in the sound or at the ocean – all you’ll need is there
· BBQ – outdoor charcoal grill provided
· Horseshoes – enjoy a fun competition in the front yard
· Veg out – take an outside shower and relax on the bench-swing or hammock in the back yard…and cool off in the pool and warm back up in the hot tub
INDOORS AT SOUND BANKER
· Televisions, stereos, DVD players, lots of DVDs, and lots of books, puzzles, games, etc. And, of course, wireless internet!
· Kitchen has a full range of appliances – and, for dining in, all of the cutlery, pots and pans, and drinkware that you will need!
